Biography
Ricardo dos Santos has more than 20 yrs of experience as a venture builder, forming startups and creating new businesses from within major corporations. Ricardo is known for ‘Collective Entrepreneurship’, designing and implementing large-scale innovation competitions and cohort-based venture studios. Throughout his career, Ricardo has advised and consulted for numerous startups and large companies: He loves to coach startup founders, intrapreneurs and their supporters.
Recently, Ricardo was Partner, Head of Venture Studio at Takeda Digital Ventures where he lead the formation, incubation, and seed investment of digital health startups. Prior, Ricardo was Vice President, Head of New Business Creation at ResMed where he led the company’s exploration into new areas of MedTech, including sleep, respiratory, feminine and senior tech.
Previously, Ricardo was the Chief Business Officer for an oncology diagnostics startup. Ricardo helped lead the company from inception to its commercial stage while securing multiple rounds of funding. Before, Ricardo set the standard for corporate entrepreneurship at Qualcomm. While there, he created an internal innovation competition and corporate accelerator that turned out dozens of projects and leaders.
Ricardo is also the founder of Scientella, a non-profit that fosters the representation of young women in STEM careers.
Ricardo holds a BS & MS in Industrial Engineering from LSU, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
