WEGO Capturing Healthcare’s Crowd Wisdom

WEGO Capturing Healthcare’s Crowd Wisdom

EPISODE 88

The power of the patient is on the rise.

In this week’s Breaking Health Podcast, WEGO Health CEO Jack Barrette explains how the company is building a network of the most influential patient leaders to help firms validate their products and services.

Barrette, a former executive at Yahoo, says WEGO networks with 100,000 patients who have developed followings in their specific areas of focus. He notes that the more influential leaders might connect with 15,000 people each month to discuss challenges and advances in treating various diseases.

“Responsible patient leaders aren’t proposing to replace everything else with their own consumer opinion,” Barrette says. “They try to match up with [traditional sources] and say, “These two together should really give you a much clearer picture.”

Find out how WEGO vets its patient leaders and what healthcare firms are turning to the company to help connect with the increasingly powerful patient voice.
