Ms. Karamchandani has 20+ years of experience working with healthcare organizations to ensure their success in the risk-based contracts in which they participate. She is responsible for Cedar Gate’s account management teams whom work alongside clients to identify and execute on financial, network, clinical and quality programs that result in revenue gains, MLR improvement and better quality and outcomes.
Prior to joining Cedar Gate, Ms. Karamchandani was the vice president of analytics and information management at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), which includes the five Blue Cross & Blue Shield Plans in Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Montana. There, she led the development and execution of an advanced analytics strategy that enabled HCSC to respond to health reform, accelerate business insight delivery by 30%, engage in multiple new fee-for-value programs with providers, enter the Medicare Advantage market and advance consumer intelligence for the Retail Health business unit.
Prior to HCSC, Ms. Karamchandani was a leader at IBM in their healthcare and software divisions and at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association where she drove the transformation of their brand strategy. Ms. Karamchandani has a bachelor’s from the University of Illinois and her master’s from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
